The ideal candidate will be responsible for building custom solutions for deployment in a SharePoint Server 2016 environment. Solutions will range from back-end services to their client-end counterparts. The candidate must have a flexible work attitude and be adaptable to adjust to Air Force and DoD IT restrictions pertaining to development and deployment of application systems. You must be a problem solver and have good communication skills – support requires interaction with customers, system administrators, and other supporting teams. Primary responsibilities will be to design and develop applications and to coordinate with the rest of the team to provide robust tools for the Air Force Civil Engineer Center (AFCEC).

 

A commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and quality product is essential. Primary duties of the developer include, but are not limited to:

  • Designing, building, and maintaining efficient, reusable, and reliable C# code  
  • Supporting the upgrade, configuration and debugging of existing solutions, as required
  • Using established development tools, guidelines, and conventions, including but not limited to ASP.NET, SQL Server, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and C#/VB.NET
  • Enhancing existing solutions by analyzing business objectives, preparing action plans, and identifying areas for modification and improvement
  • Investigating and developing skills in new technologies
  • Monitoring everyday activities of the system(s) and providing required support

Required Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Active Secret clearance, active Interim Secret clearance, or holds a recent and successfully completed NACI, NACLC, or higher background investigation
  • DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II compliance or ability to obtain within 180 days of start
  • B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, or comparable work experience
  • 5 years of design and/or development experience with ASP.NET/C#
  • Experience in database design and development using TSQL in a MS SQL Server farm
  • Experience with SQL Reporting Services
  • Proficiency with JavaScript, CSS, and HTML
  • Knowledge of Solution Design Patterns and Best Practices (e.g., SOA)
  • Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle and Agile methodologies
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to excel in a team environment

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with SharePoint Server 2016
  • Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
  • Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
